The bridge fight continues

The biggest story in town remains the future of the Powder Point Bridge. MassDOT has determined the wooden span needs replacement, citing deteriorated pilings, and is planning a concrete-and-steel bridge in a project reported at roughly $172 million. The residents' nonprofit Save Our Bridge, Inc. has gathered thousands of petition signatures urging repair and preservation instead. Clancy trial underway in Plymouth

Jury selection began July 20 in Plymouth Superior Court in the trial of Lindsay Clancy, the Duxbury mother charged in the 2023 deaths of her three children. The trial is expected to run six to eight weeks, with an expanded jury of 18 being seated. Landing Road beach closed to swimming

The Town has closed the beach at Landing Road to swimming after water testing showed bacteria levels above state limits. Transfer station stickers: 2026 season on sale
